I have zero interest in debating whether Donald Trump should have been impeached by the House of Representatives, which he was today.

You know what I think, and I know what you think. There’s no reason to discuss it.

At some point over the next week, the Senate will begin the trial. It will end in acquittal. There’s no way 17 Republicans — and I’m presuming all 50 Democrats will find him guilty — will support a guilty verdict.

Trump will then go into the history books as the first (and we can hope last) president to ever be impeached — and acquitted — twice.
