Remember the nonsense from the right suggesting that coronavirus would magically disappear after Election Day?
Well, the Guardian throws ice-cold water on that gibberish.
The United States has broken its record for the highest number of new Covid-19 infections in a single day yet again, with more than 121,000 new casesrecorded on Thursday.
As the country’s attention has been trained on the presidential election, the US has continued to break daily records for new Covid-19 cases. On Wednesday, the day after the election, the country saw more than 107,000 cases, the first time the US surpassed 100,000 new cases in a single day. Before that, the record was set on 30 October with just over 99,000 new cases.
Superb presidential leadership during this crisis.
