Donald Trump abandons leadership during coronavirus, blames “Lamestream Media” for asking “hostile questions”

What is the purpose of having White House News Conferences when the Lamestream Media asks nothing but hostile questions, & then refuses to report the truth or facts accurately. They get record ratings, & the American people get nothing but Fake News. Not worth the time & effort!

We shouldn’t be surprised that a man incapable of leadership, ethics and compassion always finds ways to blame others.

Donald Trump has perfected that skill over the 70+ years he’s been alive. He’s done it again today.

The words you read at the beginning of this post come from Trump, delivered, as you might expect, via Twitter.

The president is done with daily media briefings surrounding the coronavirus pandemic. Not because the crisis is over. Because he’s tired of not being believed. More specifically, because the media dare to challenge him on his inaccurate and dangerous statements.

Perhaps Americans should count themselves lucky that the worst president of all time has decided to say nothing to them. (Come to think of it, he’s going to keep rambling, but he’ll do it through Twitter.) After all, this is the man who has suggested coronavirus was an attempt by Democrats to destroy his presidency. This also is the man who fails to understand even the most basic of scientific principles. And this also is the man who said that injecting bleach might help people overcome the vicious virus.

Trump’s own words validate how uninformed and therefore dangerous he is to the public. But he won’t accept his weakness; a man absent leadership, ethics and compassion can’t. Instead, the “lamestream media” and their refusal to affirm his nonsensical ideas as facts necessitate ending the daily White House briefings on the pandemic.

He can’t tolerate being questioned. He can’t succinctly and adequately address what’s being done to help the country through this crisis. He can’t allow the scientific and medical communities to inform what takes place in the coming weeks and months.

He lacks a moral compass. One can hope that come next January, he lacks a job.

Report: Chinese doctors sent to DPRK to examine Kim Jong Un

Newsweek has the details.

“While the U.S. continues to monitor reports surrounding the health of the North Korean Supreme Leader, at this time, there is no confirmation from official channels that Kim Jong Un is deceased,” a senior Pentagon official not authorized to speak on the record told Newsweek. “North Korean military readiness remains within historical norms and there is no further evidence to suggest a significant change in defensive posturing or national level leadership changes.”
