(ICYMI) Hey, seniors: The right wants you to die…for the good of the American economy!

Dan Patrick is the lieutenant governor in Texas. The other night he appeared on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News show and said,

“No one reached out to me and said, ‘As a senior citizen, are you willing to take a chance on your survival in exchange for keeping the America that all America loves for your children and grandchildren?’ And if that’s the exchange, I’m all in.”

In other words, senior citizens should be part of the corrosive message emanating from the White House that says: Get back to work.

In Patrick’s dare-I-say fascist opinion, seniors should not stay home and should not pay attention to the warnings about coronavirus. In fact, according to the obviously intelligent Patrick, they should do just the opposite: Ignore the warnings about coronavirus and live life to the fullest; and if they do catch the deadly virus, then their death might salvage America’s free falling economy.

Patrick has his supporters in this insane idea. Check out what Fox News analyst Brit Hume said also to Carlson:

“The utter collapse of the country’s economy — which many think will happen if this goes on much longer — is an intolerable result.” … “[Patrick] is saying, for his own part, that he would be willing to take a risk of getting the disease if that’s what it took to allow the economy to move forward. He said that because he is late in life, that he would be perhaps more willing than he might have been at a younger age, which seems to me to be an entirely reasonable viewpoint.”

An “entirely reasonable viewpoint” to throw away birthday parties, weddings, graduations and other celebrations of life JUST TO SAVE THE ECONOMY.

Yes, go ahead, gramps and grammy, kill yourself. Clearly, you have reached an age where the right thinks you have no value.
