Time at home

Time at home

Not away

Time with you

Yesterday and today

Time for a smile

And that between us look

A moment of laughter

And reading a book

Time to think

To wonder and dream

Where might we go

You and I, a team

It’s getting late

We head for bed

We await tomorrow

With neither fear nor dread

The New York Times reports while coronavirus takes its toll around the world, citizens of many nations are finding little to no help from their governments. While in other countries, help is abundant.

Elias Calcoen and his partner opened a cafe in Brussels eight months ago. It has been closed for more than a week, but the city’s government is offering small businesses immediate $4,300 payments, plus $1,300 a month in federal aid for displaced self-employed workers.

BREAKING: USA TODAY: Tokyo Olympics to be postponed, likely to 2021

The USA Today report quotes an influential IOC member as saying,

“On the basis of the information the IOC has, postponement has been decided,” (Dick) Pound said in a phone interview. “The parameters going forward have not been determined, but the Games are not going to start on July 24, that much I know.”

Pound, a Canadian who has been one of the most influential members of the IOC for decades, said he believes the IOC will announce its next steps soon.

“It will come in stages,” he said. “We will postpone this and begin to deal with all the ramifications of moving this, which are immense.”
